About the Role

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. The role is based in Dallas, TX, within AT&T's Marketing & Growth Organization, which is responsible for driving sustainable growth through understanding customer needs, developing compelling products and services, and building a culturally relevant brand. The position involves providing comprehensive market forecast, insights, share, and analysis of industry trends supporting Business Wireless and Wireline, utilizing data analysis, research, and strategic recommendations to support leadership and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the industry subject matter expert for AT&T Business Products by accessing, verifying, organizing, analyzing and synthesizing market trends, competitive intelligence, earnings, economic indicators, and sales data.
  • Define requirements for analysis, perform analysis, and assess potential business impact; forecast future market research needs to support leadership in strategic decision-making.
  • Manage research studies and make presentations on new market areas and future market conditions.
  • Assess competitor's quarterly earnings reports and provide key insights on volume trends, pricing, product offers, and distribution.
  • Ensure high-quality data collection, analysis, and synthesis using advanced analytics techniques.
  • Work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Organize, plan, and develop holistic stories that integrate data from multiple sources to drive actionable insights.
  • Lead cross-functional, advanced analytics initiatives in partnership with Product, Channel, Sales, and Finance teams.
  • Provide consultation to marketing on identifying opportunities and threats to market share, and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Prepare presentation materials with reports, charts, and visual aids; present findings persuasively to leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align research efforts with business needs.
  • Manage multiple tracking platforms with support from outside research firms.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate data, insights, and formulate strategic recommendations.

Requirements

  • Experience in market research, data analysis, or related fields with the ability to analyze market trends and competitive intelligence.
  • Ability to define analysis requirements, perform complex analysis, and assess business impact.
  • Proficiency in managing research studies and presenting insights to leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in advanced analytics techniques and data synthesis.
  • Excellent communication skills for preparing reports and presenting findings persuasively.
  • Ability to work on complex issues requiring in-depth evaluation of data and variables.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple research platforms.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with statistical/data mining tools and large datasets.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific market trends in wireless and wireline sectors.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within telecommunications or technology industries.

Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in market research, data analysis, or related fields
  • Proficiency with analytics tools and data management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
