About the Role

The Digital Content Specialist at WalkMe is responsible for identifying, analyzing, designing, developing, and managing digital support content for both internal and external customers. This role involves creating alerts, walkthroughs, and other support materials using tools like WalkMe, and managing content projects in a fast-paced environment. The position is a remote contract role with a focus on supporting digital release items and projects as defined by the GTM team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design innovative content to educate and support internal and external customers on digital release items and projects in a timely manner.
  • Create content including job aids, virtual Knowledge Base documentation, videos, walkthroughs, alerts, and other materials as identified by the GTM team.
  • Gather and analyze technical and product information from various sources to create content for new or changing functionality.
  • Manage content projects effectively to meet deadlines and quality standards in a fast-changing environment.
  • Proactively escalate issues, roadblocks, and scope changes, and actively work to solve problems.
  • Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and internal teams to develop and maintain content that meets quality metrics.
  • Practice established content development and maintenance practices as set by the GTM team.
  • Create, format, edit, review, and proof content for technical and non-technical users.
  • Maintain and catalog content in the WalkMe system and Knowledge Base for internal and external use.
  • Stay up to date with new ideas to draw audience attention.

Requirements

  • Experience in content development and editing for a digital organization, with the ability to provide relevant examples.
  • Effective communication skills for conveying information to customers, technical staff, managers, executives, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Video creation skills for quick 'How To' videos.
  • Knowledge of information gathering, analysis, design, verification, and management practices.
  • Ability to restructure information for better problem-solving or task approaches.
  • Critical evaluation skills to analyze information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and simplify complex concepts.
  • Interviewing and questioning skills to gather pertinent content from individuals and groups.
  • Active listening techniques to gather deeper insights and information.
  • Active learning ability to understand new information and its implications in a changing environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with WalkMe or similar digital adoption tools.
