Job Description

About the Role

Chemours is seeking a Corporate Communications Intern to join our Communications team. This position offers the opportunity to assist in planning and executing strategies that enhance the Chemours brand and corporate reputation among key audiences. The intern will gain valuable exposure to the corporate communications department of a leading chemical company, participating in the development of impactful brand communications for external and internal audiences. The role is based in Wilmington, DE, and involves working a full-time schedule for a three-month period between September and November 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with industry trade and local media editorial calendar research, maintaining media database and media lists.
  • Develop media pitches and conduct outreach to local and/or industry trade media.
  • Develop content for external brand channels, including website, 3BL Media, and social media, as well as creating timely, engaging social media content for corporate channels and key executives.
  • Create compelling internal communications such as organization announcements and event recaps.
  • Update and maintain corporate communication calendars and manage website content requests.
  • Track and report on external communications programs on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Support media, social media, industry, or competitive research projects to advance advocacy and storytelling opportunities.
  • Assist in developing briefing books for events, speaking appearances, and media interviews.

Requirements

  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at the time of assignment.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, and/or journalism.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines and produce high-quality materials.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and follow up on deadlines.
  • Good judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Nice to Have

  • GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Self-starter with strong strategic thinking abilities.
  • Experience using productivity tools such as Muck Rack, Public Relay, Sprout Social, etc.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment at an accredited college or university as a Junior or above at the time of assignment.
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in communications, public relations, and/or journalism.
