About the Role

The CURS Undergraduate Student Assistant position at Bowling Green State University’s Office of the Provost involves providing clerical and web content assistance for the Center for Undergraduate Research and Scholarship (CURS). The role supports event setup, social media management, website updates, data entry, and conducting interviews, contributing to the promotion and organization of undergraduate research activities.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with online or live CURS events, including setup, tear down, registration, errands, and preparing event materials.
Perform data entry and basic data analysis for the CURS database.
Maintain social media accounts for CURS (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).
Create engaging content to promote CURS activities on social media and the CURS website.
Update the CURS website as needed.
Conduct and publish interviews with faculty advisors and past undergraduate CURS students.
Run errands and handle deliveries to and from offices on campus.

Requirements

BGSU undergraduate status of Sophomore or above with at least a 3.0 GPA.
Responsible, punctual, and professional.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Able to work independently as well as part of a team and have respect for confidentiality.
Committed to following all University & CURS procedures and expectations.

Nice to Have

Database and web design experience.

Qualifications

BGSU undergraduate status of Sophomore or above.
At least a 3.0 GPA.
