About the Role

The Data and Infrastructure Analyst role at Sentinel involves building scalable data pipelines and uncovering insights from distributed data sources. This position combines data analysis with infrastructure expertise, working hands-on with cloud technologies to shape a robust Azure-based data ecosystem. The role is a contract to hire, remote with occasional onsite support in Detroit, MI, and offers opportunities to contribute to a leading IT services provider committed to fostering a creative and growth-oriented work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Build scalable data pipelines and uncover insights from distributed data sources.
Work hands-on with cloud technologies, particularly Azure, to develop and maintain data infrastructure.
Wrangle raw data into clean, reliable structures to support analytics and reporting.
Design and maintain data ingestion processes using Azure services.
Assist in deploying data infrastructure components and implementing security and access controls.
Help maintain documentation and standards for enterprise-wide data access and usage.
Support travel between locations and transportation of equipment as needed.

Requirements

Proficiency with Azure, SQL, and data pipeline tools.
Solid understanding of cloud data architecture.
Familiarity with Python, SQL, or Spark for data transformation.
Strong communication and analytical thinking skills.
Experience working in a hybrid cloud/on-premises data environment is preferred.
Must have a car, valid driver's license, and proof of vehicle insurance.
Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
Demonstrate a “can-do” attitude and display the “ACE” factor—Attitude, Compassion, and Enthusiasm.

Nice to Have

Previous experience with collecting, transforming, and standardizing data from on-premises and cloud-based systems into Azure.

Qualifications

Experience with Azure, SQL, and data pipeline tools.
Understanding of cloud data architecture.
Familiarity with Python, SQL, or Spark for data transformation.
