About the Role

2020 Companies has a full-time remote Regional Sales Manager opportunity representing our client, Dell. This role is responsible for the direct oversight of the Dell Field Sales Managers in the assigned region, motivating, directing, and coordinating sales and merchandising activities to drive retailer advocacy and product sellout. The RSM will hire, onboard, coach, and build partnerships with retail partners, work closely with the National Manager on performance metrics, ensure regional compliance, and travel within the area to build relationships and implement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and motivate Dell Field Sales Managers (FSMs) in the assigned region to meet sales and merchandising goals.
  • Hire, onboard, coach, and provide performance feedback to FSMs.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the region, with clients and retailers to understand and exceed mutual goals.
  • Manage FSM activities including scheduling, training, visit execution, and reporting.
  • Use storytelling and presentations via PowerPoint to recap team performance and productivity.
  • Ensure proper training of FSMs on sales techniques, products, and policies.
  • Manage a quarterly contest budget and execute contesting activities while maintaining the integrity of prizing.
  • Assist in launch-related activities and serve as the main contact for FSMs within the region.
  • Track and report performance metrics, and make strategic adjustments to improve results.
  • Travel approximately 30% of the year to various markets within the region.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
  • 3 to 5 years of management experience in retail, merchandising, training, or field marketing.
  • Multi-unit management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create presentations, emails, and team communication materials.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to exercise operational excellence and demonstrate professional standards.
  • Must have a home office with broadband Internet connectivity.
  • Ability to travel 30% of the year and work flexible hours.
  • Infield presence may be required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in retail, merchandising, training, or field marketing of people and products.
  • Experience managing multiple units or teams.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree a plus.
