About the Role

The role of Digital Capabilities Project Engineer Sr. at Lockheed Martin Space involves supporting digital transformation efforts across various programs, sites, and lifecycle phases within the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program. The position contributes to advancing space technology, fostering innovation, reducing costs, and ensuring national security through strategic defense initiatives. Key Responsibilities

  • Support and deploy Digital Transformation efforts across the portfolio of programs, sites, and lifecycle.
  • Work closely with multiple and diverse functional areas across FBM.
  • Perform all levels of project management throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Manage risk and opportunity assessments and present findings to all relevant boards.
  • Develop program review documentation and support integration activities across the organization and program.
  • Support leadership business rhythms, proposal development, and budget cycles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline or 5 years of related experience.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, or the ability to support a government contract without prior clearance.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to pass drug and background checks.

Nice to Have

  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels, including non-technical personnel.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on multiple roles.
  • Experience in facilitation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong strategic communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with software, database migration, and IT architecture.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems and related processes.
  • Familiarity with Outlook, MS Teams, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or the ability to learn them.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and execute initiatives.
