About the Role

The Digital Content Specialist at Tiffin University is a role focused on delivering innovative, creative, and visually stunning digital and print recruitment marketing assets across various platforms. This position involves working closely with team members and university stakeholders to design and implement effective marketing campaigns, manage social media channels, and produce digital content that promotes the university's brand and messaging.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and execute a social media strategy through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification.
  • Research audience preferences and discover current trends to ensure maximum effectiveness of social media efforts.
  • Write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling.
  • Create and maintain university social media pages and profiles.
  • Create, edit, publish, and share content daily, including original text, images, and videos.
  • Moderate user-generated content and messages based on policies.
  • Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications.
  • Track and analyze monthly analytics reports to gain insights into traffic, demographics, and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage reputation, coordinate promotions, and increase reach.
  • Train co-workers and campus members to use social media effectively.
  • Purchase ads and promote posts when needed.
  • Create videos for programs and special events.
  • Photograph headshots, campus events, students, staff, and faculty using departmental equipment.
  • Collaborate with the in-house Marketing and Graphic Design team to produce graphics reflecting current campaigns and design schemes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital media, or a closely related area (preferred).
  • Experience in photography, videography, and production (preferred).
  • Experience with graphic design and prototyping tools.
  • Ability to understand and communicate brand ethos through digital designs.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills for visual challenges.
  • Effective teamwork across departments.
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy in design outputs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility to work weekends.
  • Strong decision-making and communication skills.
  • Results-driven and metrics-focused.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Familiarity with Canva or Adobe Express.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital media, or a related field (preferred).
