Digital Content Specialist I

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Director and Communication Team to develop and manage engaging content for websites, social media, email marketing, and other communication channels, ensuring brand consistency and alignment with Catholic Doctrine.
• Develops compelling visual narratives through photography and video to engage internal and external audiences.
• Covers and documents activities and milestones of the Congregation, its ministries, and Sisters through reports, articles, and photos.
• Creates content calendars and campaign timelines for various digital initiatives.
• Develops and implements digital marketing strategies aligned with CCVI Ministry goals, conducting research on trends and opportunities.
• Manages social media accounts, creates engaging content, interacts with followers, and monitors social media trends to adapt strategies.
• Coordinates the design, development, and maintenance of the CCVI website to keep it current and attractive.
• Supports internal communications within the Congregation and collaborates with Sisters and Associates to meet leadership and ministry expectations.
• Ensures compliance with organizational policies and obtains necessary permissions for media content.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in content creation, social media management, or digital marketing.
• Strong bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Experience with platform management (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, TikTok, YouTube, etc.).
• Excellent copywriting skills and ability to craft engaging captions, calls-to-action, and brand messaging.
• Proficiency in visual storytelling and basic graphic design or photo/video editing using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• Experience with community management, scheduling, and publishing tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, Later, or Sprout Social.
• Ability to work effectively with multiple constituencies, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the mission, vision, and culture of the Congregation.
• Experience in photographic design, delivery, and management, including videotaping and editing.
• Attention to detail and ability to protect confidentiality.

Nice to Have

• Experience with video editing and camera work.
• Knowledge of Catholic Doctrine and the values of the Congregation.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends occasionally.
• Experience with international or multicultural communications.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a relevant field; Bachelor's preferred.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in digital content, social media, or communications.
