About the Role

The Digital Experience Manager at VPC is responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of a Digital Ministry aimed at increasing online presence, engaging the community through social media, and creating meaningful digital experiences both online and in-person. This role involves managing social media platforms, creating content, and collaborating with church leadership to share the church's mission and stories in a Christ-centered manner. The position is onsite and requires active participation in church events and digital outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Expand and leverage VPC's digital presence and platforms to create meaningful connections and tell the stories of the Church through non-traditional mediums.
  • Engage the online community as an extension of the physical church community and monitor metrics for online church services to encourage engagement and attendance.
  • Manage VPC's social media platforms, create compelling digital content, and develop a social media plan including scheduling posts.
  • Actively engage with the online community by capturing photos and videos of church activities for digital use and sharing.
  • Implement the digital/social media strategy in alignment with the vision of the pastors.
  • Develop original content in coordination with Pastors and Ministry Directors for distribution across various platforms.
  • Work with the supervising pastor to develop the online worship experience, including engaging viewers on the Church Online Platform and creating video content for worship, social media, and podcasts.
  • Monitor online reviews, comments, and posts, and respond thoughtfully and promptly.
  • Analyze social media trends and metrics, report on growth and engagement weekly, and adjust strategies accordingly.

Requirements

  • Affirm the values, vision, and mission of VPC and be guided by them.
  • Be a Christian currently walking with Jesus in their faith journey.
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience with a wide variety of social media tools and techniques to maximize exposure and engagement.
  • Experience in video production, editing, and photography.
  • Computer expertise across various platforms, including Adobe Suite, Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere Pro, and/or other video editing software.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to attend various VPC events as required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Experience in developing online worship experiences and engaging viewers through livestream platforms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience.
