About the Role

Reporting to the AVP of Digital Marketing, the Digital Experience Product Director will lead the strategic vision and execution of customer-centric and business performance experiences across American Family Insurance's digital channels. The role involves overseeing the development and management of digital products that enhance customer engagement and support business growth, managing and mentoring a team of digital product managers and product owners, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align solutions with organizational goals. This position is primarily office-based in Madison, WI, with up to 10% travel required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital product strategy that prioritizes customer experience and performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Create a collaborative, performance-driven work environment by promoting trust, transparency, and inclusion.
  • Set clear goals, provide feedback, perform performance assessments, and support ongoing development for team members.
  • Identify, develop, and manage internal and external team relationships to ensure successful initiative delivery.
  • Manage the prioritization of digital initiatives and partner with steering committees and technology teams on execution.
  • Improve the usability, design, content, and conversion of digital products.
  • Conduct market analysis and leverage customer insights to identify opportunities for product improvement.
  • Develop and distribute analytics reports including customer feedback and KPI metrics, and make recommendations based on findings.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience in digital product management with a focus on customer-centric design and business performance.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Strong strategic thinking and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and product optimization.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools.
  • Knowledge of customer-facing technologies used in property and casualty insurance.
