About the Role

The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist at GHD will partner with marketing teams to optimize B2B marketing campaigns, manage marketing automation platforms, and turn data into actionable insights. This role is integral to driving business growth, enhancing campaign performance, maintaining data integrity, and supporting the company's commitment to addressing complex global challenges through innovative marketing strategies. The position is based at the West Coast Office with a hybrid work model requiring three days a week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead marketing automation initiatives to drive demand generation and growth using the MarTech ecosystem and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Define and refine list segmentation strategies and rules to ensure effective audience targeting and maximize activation of the marketable database.
  • Create and improve campaigns, engagement studio nurtures, and automations to feed into personas, lead scoring/grading rules, personalization, and audience engagement programs.
  • Optimize email campaigns to achieve high click-through rates, generate marketing qualified leads (MQLs), and contribute to pipeline growth.
  • Help define, set up, and administer systems and governance processes for marketing tools such as Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Personalization, and Advertising, including integrations with Salesforce and other tools.
  • Partner with marketing and IS teams to drive results, resolve issues, and support critical business initiatives.
  • Test and manage consent management rules, related lists, and ongoing compliance.
  • Administer email and audience management, including targeting rules, tag governance, folder structure, custom objects, clean-up, and campaign naming conventions.
  • Scope out new requirements for systems, integrations, and process changes to improve marketing effectiveness, and test and roll out new changes.
  • Lead or contribute to projects related to optimization of the MarTech stack, use of AI, and future innovations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot), with advanced skills in building and segmenting audiences.
  • Salesforce certifications in Account Engagement and Sales Cloud are preferred.
  • Advanced experience with marketing automation and engagement platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Eloqua, and Marketo.
  • Experience with CRM campaign automations, including building flows within Salesforce CRM.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms like Zapier, Workato, Tibco.
  • Experience with event and webinar platforms such as Eventbrite and ON24.
  • Good understanding of key MarTech tools including personalization tools (Adobe Target, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Personalization), analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Intelligence, Power BI), adtech platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advertising Studio), and AI tools relevant to marketing and automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to work with incomplete information to design effective solutions.
  • Excellent presentation skills to communicate marketing technology plans and progress to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail, managing multiple projects across global time zones.
  • Empathetic, culturally aware, and able to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Self-motivated, curious, and committed to staying current on MarTech and AI trends.

Nice to Have

  • Salesforce certifications in Sales Cloud.
  • Experience with AI tools and technologies relevant to marketing and automation.
