Key Responsibilities

  • Ideate and create PR campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate high-quality backlinks across Better Collective North America brands: Action Network, RotoGrinders, VegasInsider & Canada Sports Betting
  • Provide regular topic recommendations for new digital PR campaigns based on industry and competitive research
  • Write relevant and entertaining content to be pitched to third parties for link building purposes
  • Use tools such as Muck Rack to build an outreach contact list of journalists, media sites, bloggers, and other relevant parties to secure campaign pitch opportunities
  • Track and report on individual PR campaigns to showcase their effectiveness in acquiring backlinks to BC sites
  • Work across SEO, content, and design teams to ensure quality deliverables
  • Stay 'in-tune' with the world of sports to identify and capitalize on breaking news and trends to ensure that BC stays ahead of the competition
  • Support the North American Digital PR Team Lead as needed

Requirements

  • Someone who lives and breathes sports, understands the power of a good story, and knows how to turn data into headlines
  • Experience in leading creative PR campaigns that build brand awareness and earn backlinks
  • Ability to conduct industry and competitive research to inform campaign topics
  • Proficiency with outreach tools such as Muck Rack or similar platforms
  • Strong writing skills to craft relevant and entertaining content
  • Ability to track, analyze, and report on campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with SEO, content, and design teams
  • Stay informed about sports news, trends, and breaking stories

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in digital PR within the sports or media industry
  • Knowledge of SEO strategies and link-building techniques
  • Familiarity with media outreach tools and platforms
