About the Role

The Digital Media Specialist plays an important role in developing and enhancing the online media presence of our business units. This role is responsible for strategy, execution, and daily management of our portfolio of social platforms and other networks. This includes engaging and growing our followers, influencers, customers, and media to continue building our brand presence. This individual continuously tests new ideas through the development and promotion of interactive and engaging content; developing content, copy and strategy is essential for this role. Additionally, the Digital Media Specialist serves as a brand ambassador for the internal organization by interacting with and forming relationships with our customers and partners in regard to our internal channels, industry-focused groups, and forums. As a member of the Marketing Communications Team, this role works closely with the VP of Communication and collaborates with the entire Marketing team. This role is essential in ensuring alignment with brand messaging, service strategies, audience interests, and platform-specific best practices to maximize awareness, engagement, and reach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Manager of Marketing on the creation of social media content calendar (organic and paid marketing campaigns) for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Responsible for the social media marketing content calendar, scheduling, and managing social media content utilizing scheduling and planning tools.
  • Develops content and creates clear calls-to-action that facilitate engagements for both organic and paid campaigns across all product line segments.
  • Crafts compelling post and ad copy that aligns with the company's marketing campaigns, voice, objectives, and target audiences.
  • Researches social media trends and analyzes metrics to optimize the social media post creation process.
  • Assists with creation, selection, and assembly of images and graphics for social media posts.
  • Coordinates with the Manager of Creative Services & Graphic Design to ensure content is consistent with Brand Identity guidelines.
  • Produces social media video content by repurposing existing footage.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with Graphic Designers/Videographers for social media-specific assets.
  • Develops, implements, and manages paid social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn using Meta Ads Manager and LinkedIn Campaign Manager.
  • Coordinates the company's Google Business Profiles.
  • Sets campaign priorities, geofencing parameters, SMS, manages budgets, conducts A/B testing, researches new target audiences, and tracks KPIs/metrics.
  • Uploads and optimizes YouTube video content.
  • Coordinates on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices, with an emphasis on local SEO for multi-locations.
  • Performs keyword research and content optimization for high-intent, service-based searches.
  • Uses geo-targeted content strategies to build backlinks for industry-specific directories and publications.
  • Oversees social customer service for brand pages and company-owned social channels.
  • Defines and creates reputation management campaigns for large markets within PEI.
  • Manages Facebook groups and other assigned groups, including social customer service, content sharing, contest development/execution, and group management duties.
  • Utilizes social channels to monitor KPIs and competitive intelligence.
  • Prepares detailed reports on campaigns, analytics, and insights for internal teams.
  • Leverages SEO tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Moz for campaign tracking and analysis.
  • Supports development of strategies to grow social media channels, followers, and engagement.
  • Develops and executes social media campaigns to drive awareness and manage brand reputation.
  • Works with internal teams to align social media components with overall campaign goals.
  • Researches new trends, ideates new campaigns, and identifies new opportunities.
  • Conducts competitor analysis and brand studies to identify growth opportunities.
  • Researches internal display panel options and content strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital/Social Media, or applicable field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, particularly in developing and executing social media strategies, growth development, community management, and social customer service.
  • Experience or knowledge of design, architecture, engineering, construction, or related professional services industry is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience using Meta Ads Manager.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task within tight timeframes.
  • Proven track record in social community management and customer service.
  • Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with social media monitoring and scheduling tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams.
  • Thorough knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Business/Sites, social scheduling/monitoring tools, Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with design, architecture, engineering, construction, or related professional services industry.
  • Experience with project management software like Monday.com or equivalents.
  • Knowledge of AI tools such as OpusClip and ChatGTP, Microsoft Co-pilot, Perplexity, or Beautiful AI.
  • Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce or Deltek.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
  • Video editing experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital/Social Media, or applicable field.
