About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to define and align business and product vision and strategy.
• Define and communicate an effective vision for digitalised work execution, its value and benefit, throughout the organisation and with stakeholders to create a collaborative and informed end user experience.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of product owners with indirect responsibility for additional cross-functional team members.
• Lead cross-functional teams in planning, prioritization, and product delivery.
• Define and measure business impact, and monitor performance of initiatives and communicate performance metrics to key stakeholders.
• Leverage data to understand risks, impacts, scope and priorities of business objectives, and enable the team to drive results.
• Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of the new Electric advanced management distribution system (ADMS).
• Oversee integration of ADMS with grid modernization platforms to manage distribution system utilization.
• Ensure ADMS can control field devices such as line reclosers, capacitor banks, and gather information from SCADA-enabled assets.
• Support the automation of operations in real-time to facilitate centralized Grid Automation transition.
• Manage technologies like solar generation, energy storage, and electrification of transportation within the ADMS platform.

Requirements

• A degree directly related to or transferable to digital delivery and/or the energy system more broadly.
• Comfortable in challenging the 'status quo' and driving change at an enterprise level.
• Demonstrable capability to manage a critical programme/portfolio of digital products to transform business operations.
• Experience successfully leading and improving teams that are highly effective both in impact and team culture.
• Ability to create a strategic vision for a critical portfolio and turn that into tangible, achievable deliverables with a track record of exceeding expectations.
• Ability to quickly identify root causes, develop innovative solutions collaboratively with stakeholders, and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to navigate complex organizations and generate buy-in.
• Strong technical background with demonstrated ability to partner with engineering, designers, UX, and data science.
• Previous product development and implementation experience within a US energy utility would be highly valuable.
