DIR - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the direct referral development activities toward fulfillment of the hospital's strategic goals and objectives.
• Instrumental in growing census and net revenues through strategic targeting of marketing efforts, analysis of market and data/research, and referral development.
• Responsible for monitoring, analysis, and reporting of business development activities and results.
• Manage referral personnel in meeting the hospital's business development goals and objectives.
• Develop hospital marketing goals and objectives based on historical data and current market trends.
• Maintain knowledge of external competitor organizations and review payor sources such as managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Possess the skills to manage workloads and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Strategically plan for changing census focus and future budget requirements.
• Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and hospital staff.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others.
• Comprehensive computer skills, including common workplace and corporate-specific applications.
• Sound knowledge of business development concepts and basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to develop hospital marketing goals and objectives based on data and market trends.
• Ability to manage and direct a team of clinical liaisons who spend most of their time outside the hospital.
• Must be able to travel outside the hospital a portion of their time.
• Ability to problem-solve for internal and external hospital challenges.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of hospital programs, processes, and procedures.
• Effective presentation skills for engaging with individuals and groups.
