About the Role

The Business Development Executive is a key role responsible for driving growth across our organization. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, results-driven sales professional with a passion for developing and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the industry and our customers. This role involves identifying and securing new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and generating new leads. The candidate will actively engage in client meetings, pitches, presentations, and RFPs, ensuring the successful completion of the sales process. The products focus on securing new sales and growing and retaining existing accounts selling print solutions, with a broader mission to help uphold the rule of law, promote justice, and provide trusted, unbiased information worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement sales strategies, identify new opportunities, and create go-to-market initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and customers, leveraging your network and expertise to generate new business and grow existing accounts.
  • Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to ensure solutions remain competitive and relevant in an ever-changing market.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive analysis to managers and stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices, sharing insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as the point of contact for all sales-related inquiries and manage the sales process from start to finish.
  • Meet targets for profitable sales volume, market share, and other key financial performance objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of the book publishing market and industry challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships at all levels.
  • Driven and results-oriented approach with a passion for developing innovative solutions.
  • Ability to think strategically and operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the product development life cycle.
  • Ability to manage time well and work independently.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with sales strategies in publishing or related industries.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific tools or CRM systems.
  • Additional language skills relevant to target markets.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with a successful track record.
