About the Role

The Director, Belk Partnership Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that drive both the co-op and Belk Media Network programs, while maximizing revenue. The role involves enhancing the Belk Media Network program to support its growth and revenue generation, unifying marketing efforts under one core team, and working closely with cross-functional teams including the CMO and merchant organization to align strategies with global marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Unify the Co-op and Belk Media network under one core team to maximize revenue, brand visibility, and customer experience
  • Build strategy to simplify program integration through a unified platform with clear guidelines and selling tools
  • Work with the CMO and cross functional teams, particularly the merchant organization, on the strategic vision and strategy for the Co-Op and Belk Media Network marketing channels to align with global marketing strategies to acquire new customers while retaining and reengaging current customers
  • Create and execute Co-op and Retail Marketing Network strategy for Belk, unifying under Belk Partnership Marketing
  • Manage vendor communications and strategic selling approaches, while partnering with merchants
  • Accountable for account management, campaign planning, execution, and management, budget management, project management, and testing ideation and execution
  • Handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Explore and develop new ideas to increase customer engagement and sales
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with internal and external partners
  • Stay abreast of market trends and leverage them for business growth

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading and building teams
  • Strong understanding of retailer and supplier dynamics, including JBPs, co-op marketing, and merchandising
  • Experience working with vendors, third parties, and internal business partners to build revenue through the Retail Media Network
  • Excellent communication skills, including business writing and strategy communication
  • Strong analytics skills with experience analyzing financial, customer, or industry datasets to inform strategy
  • Ability to identify key stakeholders' incentives, align goals, and drive progress
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to identify opportunities, develop others, and thrive in ambiguous environments
  • Leadership skills in building, leading, and developing high-performing teams
  • Project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Understanding of the retail climate and landscape and its impact on the business
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Available and able to travel

Nice to Have

  • Experience with retail media and digital marketing channels
  • Knowledge of marketing platform tools and technology
