About the Role

The Director of Brand Activation Foot Locker Europe is responsible for defining and leading the marketing approach and category priorities for the relevant FLE Account Group. This role involves creating and delivering the Customer Brand Activation plan aligned with the Brand calendar, ensuring on-budget and timely execution. The position acts as the key marketing contact within Europe BU's communications on all customer-specific brand activation efforts, providing a clear vision of success and setting relevant objectives and KPIs in collaboration with the South Brand leadership team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and lead the Customer Account Marketing Plan, setting marketing and category priorities to meet business and brand KPIs in collaboration with AKA Sales Teams.
  • Develop and execute the Customer Brand Activation Plan, coordinating with the Customer's Marketing team to ensure delivery on budget and alignment with the adidas Brand Calendar.
  • Attend and help organize senior-level account meetings, providing brand activation or account strategy insights as needed.
  • Manage SWB budgets for the relevant AKA Customer in line with Account Marketing plans and seasonal brand priorities.
  • Ensure content creation aligns with Europe Digital Content Team and Europe BU Brand Team guidelines.
  • Collaborate with EU Consumer Experience/Branded Space team to meet adidas KPIs such as SOS, Sightlines, and creative execution.
  • Coordinate with Cluster/Zone Brand teams to ensure Customer Activation Plans complement seasonal Cluster/Zone Brand Activation plans.
  • Review and improve the Account Marketing Activation plan for future performance and initiatives.
  • Promote cross-team coordination across Europe Omnichannel teams for planning and execution.

Requirements

  • Understanding of the European consumer retail environment, including distribution points, market share, competitor ranges, and pricing strategies.
  • Working knowledge of WHS Retail activation and Digital activation in a Key Account environment.
  • High professional maturity and strong communication skills.
  • Strong influencing skills and ability to make fact-based decisions.
  • Strong analytical, structured, organized, and process-oriented skills.
  • Good business acumen with a broader cross-market/global perspective.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and under pressure.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with European Key Accounts.
  • Degree in business administration with a focus on Sales/Marketing.
  • Minimum of 12 years of business experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of functional experience with AKAs.
  • Minimum of 5 years in management leadership.
  • Cross-functional experience in marketing, sales, finance, or operations.
  • Industry experience in sporting goods, retail, or consumer goods.

Qualifications

  • Degree in business administration with focus on Sales/Marketing.
  • Minimum of 12 years of business experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years working with AKAs.
  • Minimum of 5 years in management.
