Key Responsibilities

  • Lead broadcast offering, and associated activation team(s), acting as Rise's and our clients' voice to the industry; establish and maintain strong vendor and internal/external client relationships.
  • Oversee development of strategic broadcast media plans and buys to ensure client business needs, campaign objectives, and investment goals are met.
  • Be a champion for each client; manage and continually strive to find innovative solutions that build the brand while fostering the client relationship.
  • Be a thought-leader; proactively identify marketplace trends; communicate impact to Rise and our clients; develop and execute strategies to address market changes.
  • Develop, direct, and execute buy strategies, by client, to secure the best possible rates based on goals, objectives, and savings targets.
  • Utilize data to negotiate campaigns and achieve desired outcomes; direct team in data analysis and negotiation activities.
  • Work alongside other Rise teams to ensure long-term client satisfaction, retention, and growth through broadcast-related goals.
  • Manage and review all buy-related paperwork, ensuring proper approvals prior to execution.
  • Manage and maintain buys based on client budgets and negotiation outcomes; socialize outcomes among team and leadership.
  • Own execution accuracy across all team members and ensure timely, accurate results.
  • Manage a team of direct reports, including onboarding, training, performance management, and retention.
  • Proactively maintain talent pipeline and address talent gaps as the business evolves.
  • Participate in new business processes and pitches as assigned.
  • Work independently to achieve and ensure team metrics are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in communications, marketing, advertising, or business, or a combination of an Associate's degree and related work experience.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English.
  • 12+ years of experience in media, including strategy, planning, and buying for broadcast (traditional and digital).
  • 7+ years in a management or supervisory role.
  • Proficiency in MediaOcean/Spectra and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Knowledge of research/data tools such as SQAD, Vivvix, Nielsen, comScore, PrimeLingo, iSpot, Freewheeel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior negotiation skills with a proven track record of delivering rate savings.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound business judgment.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain professional standards.

Nice to Have

  • Working knowledge of other media such as digital, print, search, social, OOH.
  • Experience in positively managing personnel issues.
  • Experience with rapid change and evolving client initiatives.

Benefits & Perks

  • Employees can be expected to be paid an annualized salary range of $115,000 - $125,000, based on knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions.
