The Marketing team at Snap aims to build a best-in-class global marketing organization, spanning global business and consumer marketing, creative, brand and performance marketing, and marketing operations. The team activates marketing initiatives across the entire Snap Inc. ecosystem. The company is seeking a strategic, analytical, and results-driven Director of Channel Marketing to lead from its Santa Monica or San Francisco office, overseeing a team and managing large-scale programs to drive customer acquisition, conversion, and revenue growth across owned and off-platform channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the overall channel marketing strategy aligned with company goals and growth targets across consumer, business, developer, and creator audiences.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of owned channels and paid media campaigns across channels.
  • Drive multi-channel attribution, customer journey mapping, and incrementality testing strategies.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of marketers, channel specialists, and media strategists.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs for team members, fostering an AI/data-driven and performance-oriented culture.
  • Oversee campaign reporting, testing frameworks, and performance dashboards in collaboration with the analytics team.
  • Champion the use of AI to continuously iterate and optimize strategies and creative performance.
  • Identify and test new acquisition channels, tools, and technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Create, build, and grow Snap's owned channels including web, social, and CRM across all audiences.
  • Partner with other senior leaders and cross-functional teams, including Insights, Creative Strategy, Product Marketing, Communications, Marketing Science, and Sales, to ensure marketing aligns with business goals.
  • Collaborate with global marketing leaders to build and localize marketing programs and share best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent marketing experience.
  • 15 years of experience in a marketing role.
  • 5 years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to navigate complex organizations.
  • Experience as an operator, capable of both playing and coaching in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative approach embodying core values.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to spot opportunities and cultivate ideas.
  • Analytical rigor with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to cultivate senior stakeholder relationships and bridge priorities across teams.
  • A passion for Snapchat.

Nice to Have

  • 8-12+ years of experience in digital/performance marketing, including leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise across paid search, paid social, mobile, web, and CRM.
  • Proven success managing large-scale budgets and delivering measurable business impact.
  • Strong understanding of marketing attribution, customer segmentation, and conversion rate optimization.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker, Amplitude) and marketing platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, TikTok, DSPs).
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), and pixel/tag management tools.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, metrics-driven approach.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Experience in regional or global marketing roles.
  • Marketing experience at a digital platform, app, or media company.
  • Proven track record of developing and launching strong creative campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Educational background with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent marketing experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in marketing roles.
  • At least 5 years of leading cross-functional teams.
