The agency's latest MarTech platform, Marilyn, is the industry's first and only end-to-end commerce advisor. We are seeking a Director, Amazon/Whole Foods, ODD/Last Mile & AHOLD to create impact and help our clients navigate the dynamic, fast-changing Commerce landscape. The role involves maintaining in-depth knowledge and strong relationships within Amazon/Whole Foods, ODD/Last Mile, and AHOLD channels, developing strategies, and leading omnichannel marketing plans to grow client businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead omnichannel marketing strategies by translating channel, shopper, and category insights into actionable plans utilizing the full Amazon Advertising ecosystem and ODD/Last Mile partners such as Instacart, DoorDash, Uber, Gopuff, and Shipt.
  • Act as the Single Point of Contact for Amazon end-to-end client work including Retail Operations, Digital Shelf, Media & Analytics/AMC.
  • Understand the consumer journey across Amazon/Whole Foods, AHOLD & ODD/Last Mile and leverage shopper marketing plans to define media touchpoints and audience-specific value propositions throughout the funnel.
  • Develop data-driven, insight-backed omnichannel shopper marketing strategies, including annual planning, calendars, and holistic executions.
  • Serve as the main client point of contact, ensuring quality and excellence of all deliverables.
  • Manage direct reports and collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute tactics aligned with marketing plans.
  • Oversee flawless execution of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Lead preparation and presentation of program post-mortems, analyzing effectiveness, KPIs, and key learnings.
  • Evaluate business trends, shopper insights, and post-campaign analysis using proprietary and partner tools, including Marilyn platform, Amazon Vendor Central, and ODD/Last Mile tools.
  • Stay updated on new capabilities, shopper marketing vendors, and trends, sharing opportunities with clients.
  • Collaborate with the broader Connected Commerce team to ideate, plan, and execute programs at Amazon.
  • Provide periodic insights and POVs on what is working and areas for improvement to enhance product and service offerings.
  • Partner with other retail commerce leaders to share best practices and track retailer capabilities and innovations.
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility related to scope, hours, and staffing.
  • Identify white space and growth opportunities within assigned retailers.
  • Attend retail forums and investor calls to provide POV to clients.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience in Amazon marketing, shopper marketing, and/or retail marketing.
  • 3-5+ years' experience working with ODD/Last Mile partners in marketing, shopper marketing, or retail marketing.
  • Experience with Amazon Marketing Services, Amazon Vendor Central, and Instacart in-platform tools.
  • Current knowledge of shopper marketing at Amazon/Whole Foods, AHOLD & ODD/Last Mile, with prior experience working directly with these retailers.
  • Experience with Amazon DSP and Instacart Shoppable Display platform is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to analyze results, synthesize data, and develop actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Strong decision-making skills in an agency and client setting, leveraging industry knowledge.
  • Effective engagement and influence skills across diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive, highly organized work ethic with a passion for business growth and innovation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working directly for or with Amazon/Whole Foods, AHOLD & ODD/Last Mile.
  • Familiarity with Amazon DSP/Instacart Shoppable Display platform.
  • Knowledge of retail capabilities such as on-site display, loyalty programs, digital sampling, and omnichannel solutions.

  • Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, or related media field.
