About the Role

The Director of Consumer Strategy & Segment Marketing (CSSM) at Fidelity Investments is responsible for developing and leading consumer marketing strategies that differentiate Fidelity's offerings in the market. Working collaboratively within a cross-functional team, the role focuses on uncovering consumer insights, guiding channel and messaging activities, and driving business outcomes through targeted marketing initiatives. The position reports to a Vice President and manages a team of 5-10 CSSM Associates, with a focus on customer acquisition, segmentation, and lifecycle management in the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of actionable consumer marketing strategies that differentiate Fidelity offerings and drive consumer value and business outcomes.
  • Create strategic marketing briefs to guide channel, messaging, and activation activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop marketing strategies and ensure alignment on implementation plans.
  • Initiate consumer research and derive actionable insights through qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
  • Influence decision-making through effective storytelling using market trends, business insights, and data.
  • Partner with other teams across the product lifecycle to support customer acquisition and client development objectives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 5-10 CSSM Associates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS); MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of relevant marketing, management, or strategy experience.
  • Experience leading marketing strategies focused on customer acquisition, segmentation, and digital experience.
  • Proven ability to conduct consumer research and analyze data to inform strategy development.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience in financial services is preferred.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, take proactive action, and drive results in a self-directed manner.

Nice to Have

  • Extensive experience in developing marketing strategies across customer acquisition and client development.
  • Experience with customer journey mapping and digital marketing.
  • Familiarity with the financial services industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
