Director, Head of Mortgage Product Management

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the P&L for the Mortgage line of business, ensuring business plan expectations are met.
• Develop and implement product strategies, growth metrics, and plans to achieve sales objectives.
• Lead strategic initiatives, including resource management and execution of operational programs.
• Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
• Oversee the development of business analytics, insights, and reporting to inform decision-making.
• Lead change management programs, including readiness assessments, stakeholder management, and execution.
• Design, implement, and monitor key product performance and growth metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and external partnerships, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Resolve complex customer escalations and policy exceptions, including interactions with clients and sales.
• Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and data analysis to inform strategy.
• Develop and maintain product directives, policies, and risk management controls.
• Support the development of salesforce training, marketing strategies, and product documentation.
• Influence and determine credit product risk parameters and metrics.
• Operate at a group/enterprise-wide level, serving as a senior resource and thought leader.

Requirements

• Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in Business or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong experience with consumer and commercial credit applicable to retail and business financing products.
• Deep knowledge of retail and business banking environment and product management fundamentals.
• In-depth risk management experience related to product development and management.
• Strong skills in market research, analytics, reporting, and relationship management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and make data-driven decisions.
• Technical knowledge of software and systems architecture, and understanding of financial principles.

• Experience in developing business cases and strategic roadmaps.
• Knowledge of banking product delivery infrastructure systems and industry regulations.
• Leadership experience in a senior or executive role within financial services.
