The role involves reimagining and shaping marketing that builds equity of the Ulta Beauty brand, with a focus on integrated strategies, brand preference, and business growth across campaigns, seasonal events, cultural moments, and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual marketing planning and execution across high priority business initiatives with cross-functional teams to ensure flawless activation, including strategies, tactics, budgeting, and measurement.
  • Drive decisions on how the brand is positioned in the hearts and minds of our guests across marketing touchpoints to accelerate growth.
  • Lead development of insight-driven creative with both internal creative team and external agency partners.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with key cross-functional partners to facilitate alignment on marketing strategies and plans.
  • Keep a pulse on beauty trends, culture, new advertising strategies, and competitive activity to spark innovation in marketing efforts.
  • Create measurement framework and monitor KPIs to evaluate effectiveness of marketing initiatives for continuous optimization and to inform future marketing strategies.
  • Develop monthly business reports and marketing presentations for management and stakeholders.
  • Manage all aspects of agency and strategic partner relationships to bring projects to life and drive business results.
  • Lead, inspire and develop direct reports to foster a culture of growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related fields; an MBA or MA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in ascending marketing leadership roles in beauty or consumer products with a deep passion for the beauty industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in global marketing, with a focus on adapting brand strategies for diverse international markets and driving locally relevant execution.
  • Demonstrated success leading 360 integrated campaigns across the consumer marketing funnel and delivering business impact, especially in digital channels.
  • Proven experience inspiring creativity and fresh ideas that effectively drove measurable results.
  • Ability to translate quantitative and qualitative data/insights into marketing strategies.
  • Strong talent management skills with a people-first leadership orientation.
  • Excellent project and budget management skills with experience managing complexity across multiple initiatives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop compelling presentation decks.
  • Self-motivated with experience managing through ambiguity and moving planning forward with speed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong prioritization and attention to detail.
  • Experience managing agency partners to bring projects to life.

  • Experience in the beauty industry or consumer products.
  • Experience in international markets and adapting brand strategies for diverse audiences.
  • MBA or MA in related fields.

Qualifications

  • Part-time positions are eligible for dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
  • Salary range of $143,000 to $203,000 per year with potential for additional compensation through bonus plan.
