About the Role

The Director, Marketing - ATTR at AstraZeneca is responsible for shaping the future of the Cardiovascular Renal Metabolic therapeutic area, specifically leading brand strategy and execution for Hereditary ATTR (hATTR). Based in Wilmington, DE, this role involves collaborating with key partners to drive brand performance, impact patient lives positively, and support launch and lifecycle management plans within a patient-centric, innovative environment committed to transforming ideas into life-changing medicines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic direction and marketing activities for CVRM ATTR asset, including market shaping, brand positioning, and disease state awareness campaigns.
  • Develop integrated channel marketing strategies for the disease state and brand.
  • Analyze and evaluate brand assets considering product profile, competitive positioning, and market access.
  • Lead cross-functional Brand Working Group to ensure alignment.
  • Produce strategic and operational commercial plans addressing positioning and messaging.
  • Collaborate on marketing strategies, tactics, and activities to achieve product objectives.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, vendor partners, and consultants.
  • Work with Insights and Analytics team to identify actionable insights and performance trends.
  • Build networks with disease area experts.
  • Support launch and lifecycle management plans responsive to patient needs.
  • Ensure promotional planning aligns with legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster relationships with thought leader advocates and customer advocacy groups.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of Pharmaceutical or Healthcare experience
  • 5+ years of Pharmaceutical Marketing and Promotions experience
  • Experience leading brand strategy and completing it
  • Ability to assess and get results with proven track record of consistent achievement or overachievement delivering strategic and operational plans within a therapeutic or business area
  • Demonstrated experience in working within cross-functional business units
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated learning agility
  • Ability to successfully lead through ambiguity

  • Successful experience leading change transformation
  • Experience in cross-channel, cross-customer marketing
  • Clinical experience in Cardiovascular Renal Metabolic therapeutic area, with a focus on hypertension
  • Experience in Market Access/Managed Markets
  • Strong understanding of local healthcare system pricing and reimbursement
  • Experience in Insight/Market Research
