The role of the Director, Marketing Center of Excellence (CoE) involves providing strategic leadership across key marketing support functions—Shopper Marketing, Digital/Media, Creative, and PR/Communications—and working closely with the Brand team to execute integrated marketing campaigns aligned with the brand's strategic vision. This senior leadership position is responsible for ensuring seamless collaboration with agencies, developing high-quality marketing assets, launching impactful campaigns, and measuring performance to optimize strategies. The role offers a hybrid work environment based in Westlake Village, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall strategy for the Marketing Center of Excellence, ensuring all teams operate cohesively to support the brand's objectives.
  • Ensure marketing activations across teams align with business and brand goals, providing clear direction and maximizing campaign impact.
  • Collaborate with the Brand team to translate strategic goals and campaign briefs into a cohesive marketing approach that integrates all CoE functions.
  • Act as the key liaison between marketing functions and senior leadership, providing insight and strategic recommendations to support business growth.
  • Oversee the alignment of marketing goals and initiatives with sales targets, ensuring a unified approach to market execution.
  • Manage and mentor team leaders of Shopper Marketing, Digital/Media, Creative, and PR/Communications, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the professional development of each team, ensuring alignment with functional and career growth objectives.
  • Create frameworks for cross-functional collaboration supporting the overarching marketing strategy.
  • Manage the external IAT agency, providing strategic direction and ensuring high-quality, innovative, and timely outputs.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with agencies, ensuring assets align with strategic direction and brand standards.
  • Oversee relationships with external agencies and vendors supporting digital marketing, creative development, PR, and shopper marketing, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Guide the creation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, media, shopper, and PR channels.
  • Collaborate with Brand Marketing, Sales, and other departments to ensure a unified approach to marketing execution.
  • Develop frameworks to integrate campaign insights and results across teams, supporting both short-term and long-term brand growth.
  • Guide the development and execution of cause marketing initiatives and experiential marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and community relationships.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in senior integrated marketing leadership roles with a proven track record of developing and executing strategic campaigns.
  • Strong experience in leading cross-functional collaboration and managing relationships with external agencies.
  • Expertise in data-driven marketing, including performance measurement, ROI analysis, and optimization strategies.
  • Proven success in multi-functional leadership, with the ability to lead diverse groups and ensure strategic alignment.
  • Experience managing multi-functional teams and driving performance against business objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies and manage external agency relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders across the business.

  • MBA or other advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience in purpose-driven organizations or brands focused on health and nutrition.

  • Competitive pay scale of $175,000 to $215,000, considering experience, education, and location.
