About the Role

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located in the location(s) posted. No relocation is offered. The role is based in Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX, or El Segundo, CA. The Director (Media Strategy) is at the heart of AT&T's Cricket Wireless paid media team, responsible for designing best-in-class media strategies and ad experiences across all facets of the program, including Mass and Performance Media. The role involves working closely with AT&T's media agency, analyzing performance, managing budgets, and providing thought leadership in media landscape intelligence. The position is part of AT&T's Marketing & Growth Organization, which drives sustainable growth through understanding customers, building a relevant brand, and delivering compelling products and experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrated media strategy, planning, execution, and measurement across all paid media channels for the Cricket Prepaid media plans.
  • Work in close partnership with AT&T's media agency of record (Hearts & Science) on all components of the media plan and investment process from briefing to reconciliation.
  • Consistent and actionable performance analysis and reporting to improve media plan performance and communicate results to leadership.
  • Manage budgets and media operations.
  • Provide media landscape intelligence and thought leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in integrated media planning with an emphasis in digital media and marketing.
  • Management of large-scale media investments and agency resources.
  • Change management capability to drive transformation in media operations and adapt to industry trends.
  • Marketing science and analytics background with ability to review, understand, and present plan performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to make informed, data-driven decisions quickly and confidently.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a collaborative and inclusive working style.
  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in media, advertising, digital strategy, or marketing within an agency or marketing-driven organization.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience.

  • Advanced degree in a related field.

  • Educational background includes a bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Significant experience (10+ years) in media, advertising, digital strategy, or marketing.
  • Supervisory experience of at least 3 years.
