Director, Marketing Excellence

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the global owner and coordinator of the Global and Local Action Planning process in Gilead, overseeing roll-out timelines, activities, template enhancements, and process adoption by global and local teams.
• Support the roll-out of strategic planning processes, maintain the Commercial Planning Hub, and collaborate with local process owners to share best practices and identify gaps for continuous improvement.
• Serve as the global owner of the Launch Excellence process, maintaining and updating the Playbook, managing the Launch Excellence platform (STRIVE), and training teams on frameworks and tools.
• Monitor process adherence and quality of launch plans, fostering a culture of learning from launches to improve future initiatives.
• Lead the implementation and adoption of new marketing capabilities, including modular content models and evolving content review processes, to enhance marketing agility and personalization.
• Shape the evolution of content review processes to support modular content approaches and contribute to integrating AI-driven solutions for content creation and workflow streamlining.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Medical Affairs, Value & Access, Regulatory, and others to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
• Maintain and promote the Marketing Excellence Framework, monitor process adherence, and ensure the adoption of new capabilities across global teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree with at least 12 years of experience in strategic and operational marketing, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Significant experience in global marketing roles, including launching new brands and designing global launch plans.
• Working knowledge of brand positioning, campaign development, and customer-centric approaches.
• Expertise in change management, facilitation, and conducting impactful workshops.
• Proven experience in leading and coaching teams within matrix organizations.
• Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and networking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience managing complex projects across multiple markets and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• International work experience and experience working with global markets.
• Experience supporting country-specific launch plans.
• Experience in content development, localization, and personalization strategies.
• Knowledge of AI-driven solutions for marketing and content creation.
