Director, Marketing - Savory

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develops long-term strategic vision for McCormick's Savory flavors platform in collaboration with technical leaders, marketing resources, and business unit leaders.
• Presents plans to divisional and company leadership, ensuring resources are aligned to achieve growth goals.
• Determines target markets through market sizing and category segmentation.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates efforts of internal and external resources in savory platform management and customer marketing.
• Analyzes industry data, market dynamics, consumer trends, and competitive landscape to serve as the Savory subject matter expert.
• Identifies new business opportunities, growth platforms, and market technology needs, assessing their potential.
• Promotes Savory capabilities to generate revenue opportunities and positions McCormick Savory Flavors industry-wide.
• Manages activities related to Savory P&L performance to support portfolio growth and margin improvement.
• Drives sales enablement by defining customer segmentation and working with Sales Directors on key account plans.
• Oversees talent development, engagement, and management of multiple direct reports.

Requirements

• BSc in Marketing or related discipline.
• 14+ years of experience in Marketing within a flavor or CPG company.
• 10+ years of experience leading and managing marketing teams.
• Proven ability to analyze data and trends to develop a growth-oriented market position.
• Strong collaboration, networking, and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Critical thinking with qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
• Solid knowledge of the food and/or health market and industry.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in or with the food industry, especially flavor or CPG sectors.
• Experience with market segmentation and customer account planning.
• Leadership experience in a global or multi-location environment.

Qualifications

• Educational background with a BSc in Marketing or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in marketing within flavor or CPG industries, with leadership roles.
