About the Role

This position is on-site 4 days per week and 1 day from home. This role is based in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Basking Ridge, NJ or remote work is not possible for this role. The Director, New Products and Commercial Development will support launch planning and provide input to the development team for assigned assets in Regeneron's expansive portfolio. This role involves partnering with the Clinical Development organization to shape the commercial vision of the New Products portfolio, leading operational effectiveness for the team, and representing New Products in enterprise processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides commercial assessments of early-stage molecules across the Regeneron portfolio to inform and shape the longer-term development strategy for each program.
  • Support the cross functional team and provide the commercial perspective on the Strategic Program Development Teams.
  • Support commercial direction and decision making to optimize success at launch across all stages of development, including early positioning, target product profiles, early HEOR and MA strategies, forecasting, input into clinical trial design, life-cycle management, pediatric development, and scientific/promotional communications.
  • Facilitate and collaborate with Market Access and HEOR to develop differentiated strategies and compelling value propositions to secure market access.
  • Participate in the development of early market access strategies spanning all product indications, markets, and audiences.
  • Collaborate with marketing & sales teams, legal, regulatory, medical, and market research to ensure understanding, alignment, and strategy implementation.
  • Represent new products assessments to senior management and internal/external partners.
  • Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations of the New Products Commercial Business Unit, streamline processes, enhance team effectiveness, and coordinate portfolio initiatives.
  • Lead the annual strategic planning processes for New Products, including long-range forecasts and resource allocation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of progressive pharmaceutical industry or relevant professional experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster relationships with internal partners, alliance partners, and Healthcare Providers.
  • Knowledge of the New Products Development cycles and lifecycle opportunity assessments; commercial launch experience is a plus.
  • Strong science background with knowledge of cardiovascular disease, hematology, oncology, neurology, or I&I.
  • Experience in consulting and/or analyst roles is a strong plus.
  • Ability to work well cross-functionally, influence, and provide direction to multiple functions.
  • Operational experience managing and optimizing team processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment with minimal oversight.
  • Experience managing multiple projects against strict deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking combined with strong implementation skills.
  • Business acumen to interpret data, formulate recommendations, and execute plans.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Innovative thinking and leveraging experience to succeed in an entrepreneurial environment.

Nice to Have

  • Consulting and/or analyst experience.
  • Experience working on a biotech/pharma commercial brand launch team.
