Director of AI Product Marketing

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Define the role of Product & Solution Marketing for AI within HPE and lead the transformation of the PSM team and broader marketing organization.
• Build a high functioning product marketing team, including assessing required skills, providing coaching and development, performance management, and recruiting talent.
• Collaborate with multiple Business Units and Sales teams to develop annual go-to-market strategies, including target audiences, hero products, positioning, and customer needs.
• Own messaging and positioning for core products, understanding buyer personas and creating differentiated content for each customer segment.
• Lead cross-functional teams to launch new products and capabilities, and drive ongoing thought leadership in relevant markets.
• Develop marketing materials to support sales, marketing, and revenue teams, focusing on content creation and presentation skills.
• Drive demand programs such as thought leadership, content marketing, events, ABM, and earned media to grow HPE’s market share.
• Collect and communicate customer, competitive, and industry insights to keep marketing aligned with external trends.
• Act as an advocate for marketing within Business Units, representing the voice of the customer, and promoting collaboration across teams.
• Track and analyze competitive intelligence, acting as a subject matter expert on competitive activity.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in product marketing, specifically with recent senior roles in AI/analytics product marketing, ideally with enterprise IT background.
• 5+ years of direct people leadership experience.
• Mastery of marketing functions and ability to partner effectively with other teams.
• Firm grasp of technology, customer needs, and market landscape.
• Strong storytelling, writing, and presentation skills.
• Growth-oriented leadership with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
• Ability to operate at scale and get work done through others.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Experience with AI and analytics product marketing in enterprise IT.
• Deep understanding of go-to-market strategies and product positioning.
• Experience developing marketing and sales support materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred; extensive related professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
