About the Role

Many structural heart patients suffer from heart failure with limited options. Our Implantable Heart Failure Management (IHFM) team is at the forefront of addressing these unmet patient needs through pioneering technology that enables early, targeted therapeutic intervention. Our innovative solutions are not just transforming patient care but also creating a unique and exciting environment for our team members. It's our driving force to help patients live longer and healthier lives. The Cordella Heart Failure System consists of hardware, software, and data products. We are executing a roadmap of innovation across the platform as part of our goal to transform heart failure management. The Director, Marketing will manage upstream marketing activities with a focus on software products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-own software product roadmap (in partnership with the technical product manager) by bringing deep insights into market dynamics and user personas
  • Effectively collaborate with cross functional teams and IHFM leadership to drive prioritization and progress
  • Lead market research, competitive analysis, and VOC (Voice of Customer) activities to identify unmet needs
  • Build strong relationships with key thought leaders to anticipate the future market environment and unmet needs
  • Define and maintain Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) that shape product direction
  • Support go-to-market planning, including messaging, positioning, pricing, and launch strategy
  • Align product and platform claims and indications with market access and regulatory strategy
  • Actively participate in technical team meetings and new product development design control activities
  • Develop deep heart failure expertise across clinical, behavioral, and economic domains
  • Other incidental duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field related experience in marketing and skill levels exceeding the requirements of the previous level
  • Demonstrated track record in people management and cross functional collaboration
  • Experience working in a regulated industry (Preferred)
  • Must be in office at our Naperville, IL office

  • Expert understanding of related aspects of marketing concepts and principles while identifying applications of functional knowledge and existing methodologies to complex problems
  • Expert understanding of market and competitive dynamics
  • Expert understanding of marketing content approval processes and systems, regulatory guidelines and legal boundaries
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to work and excel within a fast paced, dynamic, and constantly changing work environment
  • Ability to prioritize work within the team based on critical business needs
  • Ability to articulate the vision of the business unit and function
  • Frequently interacts with customers, and internal and external management concerning projects, operational decisions, scheduling requirements, and/or contractual clarifications
  • Require the ability to change the thinking of, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationship
  • Develop peer, cross functional and cross business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness
  • Support and solicit input from team members at all levels
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control
