About the Role

The Director of Global Demand Generation at Semrush is a senior leadership role responsible for creating and executing global demand generation strategies to build a qualified pipeline of opportunities for mid-market and enterprise sales teams. The role involves partnering with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop account-based marketing campaigns, manage outbound activities, and optimize systems and processes to support scalable growth. The position reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and requires a goal-oriented, hands-on leader with experience in B2B SaaS and global demand generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a qualified pipeline of opportunities for the mid-market and enterprise sales teams to engage and successfully close.
  • Ideate the global demand strategy and be personally accountable for its execution.
  • Set up a Sales + Marketing aligned account-based marketing approach to sell into named accounts within the Enterprise segment.
  • Lead virtually all outbound campaign activity in key markets and mid-market + Enterprise motions; create and launch a mix of paid/owned/earned marketing motions in collaboration with global marketing teams.
  • Partner with Product Marketing Managers and Creative Agency to ensure campaign alignment and deliver creative content that captivates and converts.
  • Ensure systems, tools, and processes are configured to score critical MQLs, reduce noise for sales, and report on demand program performance.
  • Manage key markets and acquisition channels, lead integrated marketing campaigns, develop forecasts, evaluate budgets, and measure results.
  • Create infrastructure to support the pipeline, including onboarding ABM solutions and ensuring lead scoring and funnel stages are in place.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a global demand generation role focusing on mid-market and/or enterprise segments, preferably in B2B SaaS.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful ABM strategies for enterprise accounts.
  • Experience in setting up infrastructure and processes to support scaling marketing initiatives.
  • Experience managing and developing a global, diverse team that activates campaigns locally to generate revenue.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and metrics to inform strategy.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and orchestration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and re-prioritize tasks as needed.
  • Creative thinking with a focus on achieving business results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
