About the Role

As a Director of Growth Marketing, you will be responsible for planning and executing strategies that increase our clients' donor base and drive digital revenue growth. This role focuses on a key portion of the pipeline (donor journey) - from initial awareness, to consideration, lead generation, and finally conversion. The position involves utilizing data to inform strategic recommendations and developing insight-driven multichannel strategies to help nonprofits grow through long-term, brand-loyal donor relationships. The role is within the THD Division, which is committed to advancing meaningful causes through strategy, data, analytics, marketing, and creative efforts. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop effective strategies to address digital growth marketing objectives and goals, demonstrating capabilities in email marketing, PPC, Display/Programmatic, Remarketing, Social Advertising campaigns, SEO, GEO, CRO.
  • Collaborate with Account Management leadership on the development of growth marketing strategies.
  • Train and collaborate with key Account Management staff to ensure the smooth execution of overall digital strategy and cross-platform integration.
  • Analyze data through individual ad platform analytics, Google Analytics, and client-provided CRM data to inform strategies and optimization recommendations.
  • Make recommendations for new campaigns and ways to scale existing campaigns into areas of new opportunity.
  • Identify upgrade opportunities and participate in the sales process.
  • Evaluate and modify creative strategies to better meet client requirements.
  • Regularly review clients' existing marketing campaigns to identify opportunities and make strategic recommendations.
  • Support Account Management in budget development, reforecasts, and planning activities.
  • Serve as a key client contact for digital programs.
  • Utilize various channels and tactics such as lead generation, email marketing, event marketing, website optimization, paid advertising, social media marketing, and marketing automation to support growth strategies.
  • Communicate and strategize how digital fits into the overall marketing mix to increase digital donors and revenue.
  • Serve as a client-facing leader in meetings and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years' experience in digital, fundraising, and non-profits, preferably in an agency or large national non-profit organization.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years digital marketing experience.
  • Expert understanding of PPC & SEM (including Google, Google Grants, Bing), display/programmatic, social advertising, SEO, GEO, CRO.
  • Experience successfully communicating the value of digital advertising and growth marketing to stakeholders.
  • Experience giving creative direction, copywriting, and executing ad campaigns across multiple platforms (including Facebook/Instagram, paid search, display).
  • Experience with search marketing applications, tools, and web analytics.
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager experience required; certification preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills and analytical abilities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and understanding of nonprofit digital strategy.
  • Experience at a small to medium-sized agency and comfort with changing processes while scaling.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Previous management experience required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

Nice to Have

  • Google Tag Manager certification.
