About the Role

We are hiring for a new position of Head of E-Commerce Marketing, Strategy and Operations (internally known as Director of Marketing D2C e-commerce) who reports directly to the Director of Marketing, Photofinishing. This position will lead the marketing efforts to drive awareness of and revenue for Fujifilm's D2C ecommerce platform. The Director of Marketing (D2C e-commerce) will manage a team of approximately 10 people and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful strategy building and campaign execution. The role requires a hands-on, entrepreneurial, pragmatic leader capable of delivering results in a traditional corporate environment, with an understanding of content, site merchandising, site optimization, catalog creation & production, product strategy, direct and digital acquisition, and retention marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for hiring and managing approximately 10 marketing staff members dedicated to Fujifilm's D2C e-commerce business.
  • Owns top line sales P&L responsibility for the ecommerce business.
  • Develops ecommerce and digital marketing strategies, plans, and programs to drive business growth, revenue, and profitability.
  • Owns the overall customer experience for the website, including site optimization, site merchandising, promotions, and third-party marketing.
  • Works closely with the D2C e-commerce team to align marketing efforts with business objectives, defining, tracking, and optimizing marketing KPIs.
  • Manages marketing budget, allocates resources effectively, and measures ROI of marketing initiatives.
  • Develops and implements integrated marketing strategies and execution plans, both annually and up to 5 years, aligned with business goals.
  • Leads strategic planning sessions with global, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Develops and documents processes for global marketing collaboration.
  • Partners with the Research Manager to analyze the competitive landscape, identify trends, opportunities, and plan for growth.
  • Collaborates with Digital Marketing, MarTech, and Merchandising teams to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Works with the software and MarTech teams on ecommerce features and improvements to support marketing initiatives.
  • Identifies short-term and long-range issues affecting marketing effectiveness and recommends courses of action.
  • Builds and maintains a strong brand identity and positioning within the retail photo space.
  • Oversees product marketing team managing the online product assortment to grow revenue.
  • Aligns on assortment launches, promotional calendars, markdowns, and pricing strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborates with product development to create value propositions and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develops product positioning, messaging, and launch plans to ensure successful product adoption.
  • Analyzes sales trends, product performance, and upcoming campaigns to inform product assortment decisions.
  • Oversees vendor and agency management, including budgets, RFPs, contracts, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in marketing, design, or related disciplines; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a fast-paced, highly competitive marketing environment in a managerial role.
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing, buying, or merchandising, preferably in ecommerce.
  • Successful track record in senior marketing D2C e-commerce roles.
  • Experience building and managing teams of 7 or more staff members.
  • Demonstrated leadership across diverse functions and tasks with managerial skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively within ecommerce and cross-departmentally to launch digital and omni-channel programs.
  • Ability to develop multi-year and annual strategic plans with assumptions and forecasts.
  • Strong online merchandising skills to optimize product presentation and sales.
  • Experience presenting to Senior Leadership.
  • Proficiency in project management, prioritization, delegation, and managing tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing creative designers or agencies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of ecommerce trends, analytics, and customer preferences.
  • Experience leading SEO/SEM, digital advertising, email, social media campaigns.
  • Experience optimizing landing pages and user funnels, including A/B testing.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills with experience using analytics tools like Google Analytics.
  • Working knowledge of ad serving tools.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Good understanding of graphic/image file formats and specifications.

  • Experience with photo or related personalized products in ecommerce or retail environments.
  • Experience with Digital Asset Management and Product Information Management systems.
  • Experience implementing or using MarTech tools.
