About the Role

The Director of Product, Growth will report to the Chief Product Officer and is responsible for driving experimentation on product funnels, defining and executing strategies to engage and nurture potential customers, partnering with engineering, data, and marketing teams to optimize testing and personalization, leading product launches and cross-sell initiatives, developing APIs and embedded experiences for growth, and managing a small team of Product Managers. The role focuses on growing customer acquisition, engagement, and monetization within a consumer digital lending or fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

Drive experimentation on product funnels to optimize performance and maximize customer loan origination.
Define and execute a product strategy to engage and nurture customers who are not yet ready to become Earnest customers, based on customer insights.
Partner with engineering, data, and marketing teams to ensure a strong foundation for testing, personalization, and funnel optimization.
Lead product launches, drive engagement, and cross-sell from existing customers.
Develop APIs and embedded experiences to facilitate growth from partner channels.
Lead and develop a small team of Product Managers as a player/coach.

Requirements

7+ years of experience launching and growing successful consumer digital lending or fintech products.
2+ years of experience leading a team of Product Managers.
Experience optimizing online customer acquisition funnels across multiple channels and products.
Experience growing engagement and cross-selling within an existing customer base.
A data-driven approach influencing product decisions and pivoting strategies.
Deep experience setting up, running, and measuring A/B tests.
Ability to manage and optimize a testing roadmap based on data and customer insights.
Experience integrating martech infrastructure to enable growth through marketing and sales channels.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
Entrepreneurial mentality with a desire to change the world and a sense of urgency.
Strategic thinking with attention to customer experience details.
Executive presence and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including C-level.

Nice to Have

Experience with sophisticated testing methodologies such as contextual, multi-arm bandits.
Experience launching growth features or freemium offerings from 0-1.
Experience partnering closely with marketing teams to open new distribution channels.
Experience building embedded product experiences with partners.
