About the Role

The Director of Product Sales role is a highly visible position within Bob Evans Farms, responsible for influencing all products and go-to-market strategies for the assigned portfolio. The role involves leading omni-channel sales growth, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and interacting with top executives. It offers opportunities for future senior management roles in sales, category management, and trade marketing, within a company that values innovation, growth, and strategic leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage go-to-market sales and trade strategies focusing on Consumer, Category, Competition, Company, and Customer objectives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Category Management, Finance, and Demand Planning to commercialize new products and drive revenue.
  • Direct the team to deliver trade, revenue, and planning objectives for the assigned portfolio.
  • Refine brand initiatives, merchandising strategies, and distribution priorities for the Retail Sales Team.
  • Develop the 4P's (Product, Price, Promotion, Placement) review process focusing on sales strategy and promotional analysis.
  • Manage and develop the team to become future sales managers within the company.
  • Build and execute customer-specific programs aligned with brand objectives to support growth and profit objectives.
  • Direct field sales execution of new product launches and existing product reviews, supporting daily sales team activities and customer strategies.
  • Manage, develop, and deliver effective ad hoc reporting on strategic sales initiatives.
  • Serve as a tactical and strategic partner in field sales business plan development.
  • Identify opportunities through qualitative and quantitative data, driving concepts to commercialization.
  • Drive strategic cross-functional projects and recommend process improvements.
  • Develop Customer Annual Operating Plans with cross-functional partners.
  • Manage strategy, insights, and presentation processes for key customer meetings with field sales.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5-7 years' experience in sales, trade marketing, or finance at a CPG food organization or a combination of experience and education.
  • Experience utilizing Excel to understand and optimize data and derive key business insights.
  • Experience with IRI, Tableau, Demantra, and Consumer Data Panel data.
  • Ability to calculate and examine sophisticated business concepts in real time.
  • Ability to question and direct cross-functional teams without direct reporting structure.

Nice to Have

  • Master's Degree or advanced technical degree.
