About the Role

The Director of Sales at Four Seasons is responsible for monitoring and motivating the sales team to meet quotas, focusing on sales activities, individual accounts, and group bookings to maximize revenue across all hotel revenue areas. The role involves leading sales strategies, developing marketing plans, and ensuring the hotel’s sales and marketing procedures align with company standards. The position is based at the Four Seasons Resort O'ahu at Ko Olina, a luxury Hawaiian beach resort offering a range of amenities and experiences, and is integral to maintaining the hotel’s reputation for exceptional service and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and motivate the sales activities and sales team to ensure all salespersons' quotas are met.
  • Coordinate sales activities, individual accounts, and group bookings with transient demand to maximize revenue per available room.
  • Lead and direct the hotel's group and individual room sales activities, developing sales and marketing solutions proactively and creatively.
  • Assist in the development of the annual marketing plan and ensure projects are executed across all market areas to increase sales and profitability.
  • Review market analysis, determine client needs, occupancy potential, and desired rates.
  • Supervise the installation of sales and marketing procedures, ensuring compliance with all company Minimum Operating Standards.
  • Use and leverage company-provided marketing tools and analyze sales statistics against booked versus consumed business.
  • Recruit, select, train, guide, and evaluate sales department personnel, conducting performance evaluations and managing supervisory functions.
  • Negotiate to achieve maximum revenue and profit potential while satisfying client needs.

Requirements

  • Ability to monitor and motivate a sales team to meet quotas and maximize revenue.
  • Experience in leading and directing hotel sales activities and developing sales strategies.
  • Strong skills in developing and executing marketing plans and analyzing market data.
  • Proven ability to negotiate and achieve revenue and profit goals.
  • Experience in supervising and training sales personnel.
  • Knowledge of hotel sales and marketing procedures and standards.
  • Ability to analyze sales statistics and market trends.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience working in luxury hospitality environments.
