Key Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term execution plans for paid search that align with client business objectives and track KPIs to measure success.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills to extract meaningful insights from data, relate these insights to client goals, and identify actionable recommendations.
  • Lead and manage a team of search professionals, assign tasks, track progress, and ensure campaign execution, providing training and mentorship.
  • Effectively present strategic and tactical plans to clients, staff, and internal teams, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and pacing for search campaigns, ensuring resource allocation and performance optimization within budgets.
  • Understand business concepts and client objectives to identify opportunities for campaign expansion and growth.
  • Support the team in creating paid search assets with a test/learn/scale mindset.
  • Collaborate with broader investment and strategic leadership teams.
  • Drive best practices in platform management, produce POVs, and oversee testing plans with the Associate Director.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve team efficiency.
  • Serve as the escalation point for day-to-day issues and challenges.
  • Present new ideas and approaches to clients, including upsell opportunities with third-party vendors or internal technologies.
  • Interface with Omnicom Media Group Center of Excellence to define strategic pathways for paid search execution.
  • Distribute effective approaches and new tests to internal teams and submit client work for industry awards.
  • Provide direction to internal teams on boosting account quality scores, adopting new features, and innovating approaches.
  • Manage complex paid search structures across multiple accounts and thousands of keywords, prioritizing effectively.

Requirements

  • Relevant post-secondary education, training, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant Paid Search experience and 6+ years managing junior team members.
  • In-depth understanding of Paid Search campaign management and optimization best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
  • Experience with bid management tools like SA360, SKAI, or Marin.
  • Experience with Adobe or Google Analytics and troubleshooting site tags.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data for decision-making.
  • Proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Experience with AI buying agents such as Google Performance Max and Bing Performance Max.
  • Advanced scripting skills.
  • Strong program management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal storytelling skills.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams.

Nice to Have

  • Programmatic and social advertising experience.
  • Certifications such as Google Ads Search Certification, Microsoft Ads Certification, Google Search Ads 360 Certification, Google Analytics Certification, and AI Powered Shopping/Performance Ads.

Qualifications

  • Relevant post-secondary education, training, or equivalent experience.
