Director, Portfolio Marketing

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Partner across the organization to develop the commercial strategy, story, and marketing plan for the portfolio of products and services, aligned with the company's vision and strategic goals.
• Function as a key commercial partner for Business Unit leadership, providing critical insights for portfolio strategy, planning, and execution of new product launches.
• Drive ongoing portfolio awareness, demand creation, and enablement efforts, and engage in business performance assessment and optimization.
• Engage with business units during strategy review processes to ensure external insights and company strategies are integrated.
• Support inorganic growth strategies through partnerships, joint ventures, and acquisitions, acting as the voice of Marketing in these initiatives.
• Manage the hiring, development, and retention of the portfolio marketing team, providing leadership and mentorship.
• Build and execute the go-to-market plan, including targeting audiences, messaging, and content architecture.
• Optimize marketing investments across the portfolio to maximize returns.
• Own industry analyst relations, engaging with key analysts to influence portfolio roadmap and messaging.
• Collaborate with sales, market access, and partner enablement teams to create plans that drive sales and partner adoption.
• Develop integrated campaigns involving market intelligence, demand generation, and sales enablement, ensuring alignment across regions and teams.
• Oversee content creation for websites, campaigns, and sales tools, ensuring effective messaging and ROI measurement.
• Develop thought leadership to position the portfolio effectively and engage with strategic partners to communicate combined strengths.

Requirements

• Legal authorization to work; the company will not sponsor visas.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 12 years of strategy and marketing experience with a successful track record in portfolio-oriented messaging.
• Experience developing multi-year plans and leading cross-regional teams to execute strategies.
• Experience in budget management, including multi-year investments and forecasting.
• Deep understanding of the industrial automation domain and the full Rockwell Automation portfolio (products, software, and services).
• Proven ability to build effective, collaborative teams and to coach and develop high-performing staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.

• MBA degree.
• Proven results managing across global matrix organizations.
