About the Role

Cogent Biosciences is a publicly traded biotechnology company focused on developing precision therapies for genetically defined diseases. The company’s pipeline includes bezuclastinib, a selective tyrosine kinase inhibitor targeting KIT D816V mutation responsible for systemic mastocytosis and other mutations in KIT exon 17, with top-line results expected in 2025. Cogent also has ongoing studies of FGFR2 inhibitors and a portfolio targeting mutations in ErbB2, PI3Kα, and KRAS. This role involves leading marketing operations to support the launch of bezuclastinib, ensuring compliant, efficient, and impactful promotional activities in a highly regulated therapeutic landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the bezuclastinib brand team, ensuring Marketing Operations aligns with Cogent Commercial objectives to enhance executional effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement a marketing operations strategy aligned with the unique needs of bezuclastinib and its potential three indications.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational processes to support agility, scalability, and compliance.
  • Lead budget planning, resource allocation, and vendor oversight to support commercial execution.
  • Manage the end-to-end content approval process for key commercial materials, including promotional review (MLR).
  • Ensure timely and compliant review of promotional materials, including HCP and patient-facing assets.
  • Manage systems supporting content approval workflows such as Veeva Vault PromoMats and optimize their use.
  • Work with marketing to execute complex customer engagement plans into high-performing omnichannel campaigns across HCP, patient, and caregiver audiences.
  • Collaborate with analytics teams to integrate insights into campaign design and optimization.
  • Ensure systems and platforms are ready to track key data and metrics for campaign effectiveness.
  • Oversee speaker bureau operations, including nomination, contracting, onboarding, and logistics.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., FDA, transfer of value) and internal policies.
  • Lead execution of congresses, conventions, and field-sponsored events, ensuring full optimization.
  • Manage agency selection, onboarding, performance tracking, and contract alignment.
  • Establish KPIs and ensure high-quality deliverables supporting brand objectives and scientific integrity.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for internal stakeholders and agency partners.
  • Maintain SOPs and process documentation tailored to bezuclastinib marketing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Life Sciences, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8-10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with significant experience in oncology and/or rare diseases preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing, accelerating, and standardizing omnichannel operations processes.
  • Proven leadership in promotional review, omnichannel execution, and vendor management.
  • Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, including FDA, PAAB, and global standards.
  • Experience with key systems such as Veeva Vault PromoMats and Events is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment with multiple priorities.
