The role of Director, Sports Marketing & Innovation involves leading strategic technology and marketing campaigns with premier sports organizations, focusing on innovative use cases powered by Adobe technology and AI to enhance digital fan experiences, and working creatively with strategic partners like AWS and Microsoft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sports Leagues and Adobe Consulting Services to orchestrate innovative use cases that align business goals with AI-powered fan experiences, translating strategy into platform execution, journey activation, and measurable outcomes using Adobe Digital Marketing & Media Enterprise technology.
  • Showcase Art of the Possible by turning innovative use cases into storytelling moments for fans and enterprise audiences, highlighting these across adobe.com and at major events like the Super Bowl, All-Star Game, and Adobe Summit.
  • Collaborate with Adobe Content Labs to develop branded experiential activations that demonstrate customer value from Adobe technologies at sporting events and Adobe-led events.
  • Develop customer storyboards for use in events, MLB/NFL days, and joint meetings to showcase partnership success.
  • Provide regular executive updates, lead joint planning sessions, and influence roadmap development tied to partnership success.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, drive fan engagement, and maximize Adobe impact across sports platforms and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with the Global Sports Marketing team on planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across content, digital, social media, advertising, and tentpole events.
  • Lead Adobe Enterprise campaign planning cycles, including annual partnership calendars and real-time activations during major sporting events.
  • Partner with the Executive Marketing team to leverage sports partnerships for creating high-profile experiences for C Suite Executives.
  • Coordinate with global tech partners like AWS and Microsoft to scale impact and reach of sports campaigns.
  • Align regional and global stakeholders to ensure message consistency and cultural relevance in every market.
  • Present campaign strategies, plans, results, and ROI to senior marketing, sales, and business unit executives quarterly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise marketing.
  • Proven track record with integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Experience working with large sports organizations.
  • Experience implementing Adobe Technology such as Adobe Analytics, Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Commerce, Adobe Marketo, Adobe Target.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.
  • Ability to bridge strategy and execution across product, creative, and data teams.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in digital experience, personalization, or sports marketing innovation.
  • Strong storytelling and executive communication skills.
  • Location: New York-based preferred to support strategic alignment with key sports partners.
