About the Role

Topps Digital stands at the intersection of nostalgia and innovation-where cherished pastimes meet modern platforms. Across MLB, Star Wars, WWE, Marvel, Disney, and UEFA, our digital trading card experiences bring fans closer to the stories and characters they love. As we scale our apps and offerings, we are seeking a strategic leader with deep domain expertise in mobile gaming and collector behavior.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute strategy and growth initiatives across a portfolio of digital collectible apps
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop compelling F2P systems, leveraging proven mobile game mechanics tailored to a collector-centric audience
  • Rapidly build expertise in the trading card hobby-understanding the psychology of scarcity, collector motivations, marketplace behavior, and live events
  • Evaluate and prioritize features, monetization opportunities, and engagement loops that align with user value and business goals
  • Use market intelligence, competitive benchmarking, and player data to shape strategic decisions and long-term planning
  • Collaborate closely with the VP of Topps Digital and broader leadership team to ensure alignment across product, marketing, and operations
  • Advocate for the collector, bringing empathy, creativity, and structure to how we evolve our experiences

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in digital strategy, including:
  • 5+ years at a top-tier mobile gaming company with responsibility for live ops, game economy design, or F2P engagement strategy
  • Experience in digital collectibles, trading platforms, or fan engagement ecosystems is highly desirable
  • Exceptional understanding of free-to-play loops, monetization design, player segmentation, and long-term retention strategies
  • Strong strategic and analytical capabilities with the ability to synthesize complex inputs into clear roadmaps
  • Passion for fandom, games, and the craft of collecting in both its digital and physical expressions
  • Background in management consulting is a plus, but not required

  • Background in management consulting

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in digital strategy

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range in Los Angeles: $173,000- $217,000 (base pay only, excluding incentives)
  • Salary range in NYC: $188,000- $235,000 (base pay only, excluding incentives)
