About the Role

The Director, U.S. HCP Marketing Strategy, HSCT-TMA at Alexion Pharmaceuticals is responsible for leading the US commercial launch and strategic planning for a new TMA indication within the Hematology and Nephrology (Hem/Neph) U.S. commercial team. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional and global teams to drive market shaping, launch success, and brand development for a leading product in a new indication, with a focus on disease education, HCP initiatives, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading the US commercial launch preparation and execution for a new TMA indication, including prioritization, strategy definition, and tactical execution.
  • Creating and executing brand plans, including disease education and HCP initiatives.
  • Developing commercial insights through market research, advisory boards, and KOL engagement plans.
  • Collaborating across US commercial teams, global teams, medical affairs, market access, patient advocacy, legal, and compliance to ensure flawless launch planning.
  • Refining brand value proposition and messaging platform for the US in partnership with global marketing and other stakeholders.
  • Developing launch strategies and execution plans across personal and non-personal channels for HCPs.
  • Partnering with sales leadership, TLL leadership, and training teams to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Managing strategic partnerships with key opinion leaders and specialty centers.
  • Overseeing brand agency relationships and launch budget, providing updates to leadership.
  • Monitoring launch performance metrics and adapting tactics as needed.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or related field.
  • 8+ years' experience in biotech/pharma, with at least 3+ years in rare disease or specialty marketing.
  • Strong understanding of US commercialization strategies, market access challenges, and patient/care pathways in rare diseases.
  • Experience preparing and executing a launch in the U.S.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to drive results as a cross-functional leader.
  • Strong project management, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to engage in scientific discussions with KOLs for commercial purposes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, cross-functional environment.
  • High sense of ethics and responsibility.
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 30% as required.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PharmD, etc.).
  • Prior experience at Director level in Marketing.
  • Prior experience in Hematology, Transplantation, or Immunology.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary care teams, influencing clinical protocol development, and navigating hospital in-patient dynamics.
