About the Role

The Director, U.S. Wealth Marketing at BMO Financial Group provides advice and supports the marketing objectives of the business. Key Responsibilities

  • Provides advice and supports the marketing objectives of a business/group.
  • Creates, develops, and executes marketing plans and strategies aligned with brand standards and strategic objectives.
  • Manages cross-functional relationships across business/groups to leverage opportunities and services.
  • Acts as a liaison between the business/group and internal marketing functions to ensure alignment.
  • Builds interdependent teams that collaborate across functional and operating groups to create value for stakeholders.
  • Attracts, retains, and enables the career development of top talent.
  • Improves team performance, recognizes and rewards performance, coaches employees, and supports their development.
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to senior leaders for making business decisions and implementing strategic initiatives.

  • Manages resources and leads the execution of strategic initiatives to meet business and financial goals.
  • Builds effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators.
  • Breaks down strategic problems, analyzes data, and provides insights and recommendations.
  • Defines business requirements for analytics and reporting to inform decision-making.
  • Monitors and tracks performance, addressing issues as they arise.
  • Designs and produces reports and dashboards, and oversees operational programs.
  • Plans and controls unit operating expenses and recommends financial management processes.
  • Leads the design, implementation, and management of core business processes.
  • Oversees vendor relationships and ensures contractual obligations are met.
  • Develops and implements strategic plans, activation plans, schedules, budgets, and tactical plans.
  • Coordinates marketing solutions for campaigns, partnerships, and events.
  • Maintains relationships with internal/external partners, including vendors and suppliers.
  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Operates at a group/enterprise-wide level, influencing team collaboration and addressing complex problems.
  • Communicates abstract concepts clearly and fosters internal and external networks.
  • Anticipates trends and implements appropriate changes.

Requirements

  • Typically 9+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Degree in business, marketing, or communications.
  • Expert knowledge of financial services, products, and solutions.
  • Expert knowledge of strategic planning and execution.
  • Experience in marketing and communications within the financial industry.
  • Seasoned industry expert with extensive knowledge.
  • Technical leader regarded as a thought leader for innovation.
  • Expert verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Expert influence skills.
  • Expert collaboration and team skills, with a focus on cross-group collaboration.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Expertise in data-driven decision making.
