About the Role

The District Manager at Alsco Uniforms is responsible for managing a district of routes to meet or exceed service goals. The role involves developing and motivating a highly productive team, ensuring outstanding customer service, maintaining company policies and safety standards, and overseeing route organization and growth. The position reports to the Service Manager and may include managing a service center if it has more than 7 routes. Alsco Uniforms has a long history dating back to 1889, serving over 350,000 customers across 13 countries, and emphasizes customer satisfaction, employee development, and a diverse, inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and motivate a district team through training, meetings, route rides, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Ensure customer loyalty and outstanding service through customer visits, audits, problem solving, and open communication.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures, including safety and Service SOP, are followed within the district.
  • Manage retention and growth by soliciting new customers, up-selling/cross-selling, and monitoring competitive activity.
  • Oversee promotions, contests, and maintain excellent customer relationships.
  • Communicate changes and policies to the district, oversee route organization, and project a professional image.
  • Work cooperatively with other departments and perform general route responsibilities when necessary.
  • Safely operate delivery vehicles following laws and company policies.
  • Perform tasks as directed by supervision, including supporting other service personnel.

Requirements

  • Have and maintain a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record, free of chargeable accidents and violations.
  • Be 21 years or older.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and route sales skills.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Follow directions accurately and manage time effectively.
  • Recognize colors, sizes, and types of products, and perform basic counting and arithmetic.
  • High School graduation or equivalent experience.
  • Qualified to hold a driver's license.
  • Frequently travel within the branch area.
  • Operate vehicles on public roads and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.

  • Experience in customer service and route sales.
  • Ability to work in diverse environments and support team members as required.

Qualifications
