About the Role

The Employee Benefits Account Manager (AM) services and maintains accounts while providing professional and prompt support to clients, carrier representatives, vendor partners, and HUB colleagues. The AM works independently and cooperatively with Producers and the entire client team to deliver HUB services throughout the policy cycle. This role aims to positively impact customer satisfaction and support the organization's organic growth through account rounding, cross-selling, and new business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main, day-to-day point of contact for clients, responding professionally and promptly to all inquiries.
  • Support the Account Executive in executing strategies, facilitating the renewal process, preparing materials and reports, and ensuring internal systems are up to date.
  • Manage and coordinate client work across the account team.
  • Act as liaison between clients and insurance carriers to resolve service needs or marketing initiatives, including eligibility, billing, policy interpretation, and contract review.
  • Manage, organize, and conduct client meetings when necessary.
  • Manage carrier changes with clients and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately and timely.
  • Identify opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell of other HUB products and services.
  • Oversee open enrollment assistance and communications.
  • Manage new client or new line of coverage implementation.
  • Stay informed of changes in the insurance industry and external conditions affecting clients.
  • Manage open items log to ensure outstanding items are closed in a timely manner.
  • Travel up to 25% for client meetings.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of applicable Employee Benefits experience.
  • Strong ability to listen, discern, and prioritize with clients, colleagues, and carrier representatives.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to changes in the work setting and meet set standards.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to utilize and be proficient in broker management systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Relevant Employee Benefits licenses per state/regional statutes; advanced professional designation highly desirable (e.g., CEBS, GBA, HIA, RHU, REBC).
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications
