The role of Enterprise Account Executive involves driving new business acquisition within the Corporate market, specifically targeting organizations with 2,000 to 20,000 employees in the Illinois region, and playing a key part in developing the territory and sales strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dedicate at least 50% of your time to field-based sales activities including customer meetings, site visits, and relationship-building.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive territory plan.
  • Manage the entire sales process to meet or exceed individual targets and contribute to team and company success.
  • Proactively penetrate greenfield accounts and achieve a quarterly quota of at least 2-3 qualified net new logos.
  • Initiate and manage expansion discussions to drive customer retention.
  • Devise a customer acquisition strategy and partner with channel sales to establish channel initiatives resulting in a minimum of 5 deal registrations each quarter.
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of Verkada’s products and the physical security market to confidently sell to C-level executives.
  • Create effective presentations and proposals, negotiate pricing and contractual agreements, and drive deal closure.
  • Provide account analysis, conduct quarterly business reviews, and generate accurate revenue forecasts.

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of quota-carrying B2B software/hardware technology sales experience, with a focus on building a greenfield territory and landing new business within an Enterprise organization.
  • 3+ years of enterprise sales experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven success in selling complex technical solutions and managing longer, complex sales cycles.
  • Hunter sales mentality with a strong desire to succeed, prospecting, closing new logos, and landing major accounts against incumbents.
  • Willingness to have a strong field presence multiple days per week and reside in the territory, with willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Experience engaging with all levels from end users to C-level executives, including CIO/CTO/CISO/CFO leaders at Fortune 1000 companies (highly preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external channel partner teams.
  • Relevant industry experience in security software, physical security, hardware, networking, SaaS, or cloud software is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge and execution of MEDDIC is highly preferred.
  • Self-motivated, tenacious, confident, with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • High IQ, EQ, and self-awareness.

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling to CIO/CTO/CISO/CFO leaders at Fortune 1000 companies.
  • Experience with security software, physical security, hardware, or related domains.
  • Experience working with channel partners.
  • Knowledge of MEDDIC sales methodology.

  • BS/BA degree strongly preferred.
