Key Responsibilities

  • Defines, plans and drives program objectives based on management and senior technical guidance
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of the principles of project management and can apply them effectively on small to large size projects
  • Has responsibility for projects or processes of significant technical importance and for results that cross engineering project areas
  • Initiates significant changes to existing processes and methods to improve project and team efficiency
  • Creates and maintains project management artifacts such as a program schedule, plan of record, statements of work, budget, scope, performance, and quality KPIs
  • Provides comprehensive views of project status updates and facilitates cross development team dependencies and communication
  • Identifies action or mitigation plans for issues or risks that arise during the project lifecycle
  • Collaborates with core teams and execution teams to identify areas that require special attention or escalations to identify corrective actions
  • Collect, analyze, organize and publish work performance data via dashboards and recurring status reports
  • Drive continuous improvement and program lessons learned

Requirements

  • Industry experience in project management, technical program management and customer relationship management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage program schedules and align them with broader business objectives
  • Detailed understanding of Software and Hardware Development Life Cycle including requirements management, documentation management, and defect management
  • Strong analytical skills: capable of structuring complex analysis, extracting key insights, drawing actionable conclusions, and effectively communicating recommendations to senior management and stakeholders
  • Executive communication: proficient in both written and verbal communication, able to provide concise summary of program progress, risks, or status of critical issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate concepts, processes, and progress with multiple stakeholders
  • Experience in horizontal leadership/matrix management, with the ability to lead and influence teams across multiple functions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight turnaround times
  • Experience with productivity and project tools including Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence and Office Suite
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Formal project management education, PMP certified

Nice to Have

  • Experience in managing complex hardware and software programs
  • Experience with data center or server product development
  • Knowledge of AMD products or similar high-performance computing platforms
